Full color tattoos in West Palm Beach
Color that stays loud.
Saturated, high-contrast color work built on heavy black structure, so the reds stay red and the greens stay green long after the first summer.
Why some color tattoos fade to soup, and these don't
Color without contrast is a countdown. Skin is a filter, and over the years it softens everything underneath it; the pieces that survive are the ones designed with that filter in mind. Clayton builds color work the traditional way, black first, structure first, then packs saturated pigment against that black so every hue has something to stand on.
That means honest conversations up front. Some palettes age better than others, some placements (fingers, feet, anywhere the Florida sun lives) are harder on color than others, and very fine, pale detail is the first thing time takes. If part of your idea won't hold, he'll redesign that part with you rather than tattoo something he's not willing to stand behind.
What to bring to the consultation
- Reference images of the style and palette you love, they set the direction, not the final design.
- An open mind on size: color needs room to breathe, and a little more scale usually means a lot more longevity.
- Your sun reality: if you work outdoors or live in the ocean, say so, it changes the plan.

Color questions
Before you commit to color
Does color hurt more than black and grey?
Packing color solid takes more passes over the same area, so color pieces can feel like a longer session. Clayton paces color work so you're not sitting longer than the piece needs.
Will my color tattoo need touch-ups?
Every tattoo settles as it heals, and some spots take ink better than others. If a spot heals light, say so at your consultation follow-up. Honest pieces get honest fixes. Long-term, sun exposure is the biggest enemy: healed color plus daily sunscreen is the whole maintenance plan.
Can you match this exact palette from my reference?
Close, with one caveat: pigment under skin never looks identical to pigment on a screen, and your skin tone is part of the final palette. The consultation covers what your chosen colors will actually do on your skin.
